Alexandra (Alli) Hopkins

Alli is a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar. She has a warm personality and is client-centred and empathic. Alli establishes rapport based on trust and mutual respect that empowers her clients and makes them feel heard, safe, and supported.
Alli has worked in community, school, and private practice settings where she conducted various psychometric assessments as well as individual and group therapy. She has experience working with clients presenting with a range of issues including anxiety, panic, depression, stress, peer problems,
and relationship difficulties. Alli has also provided early intervention therapies and skills training to assist individuals to enhance their confidence and achieve their goals.
Alli has a particular interest in working with adolescents and adults. In addition to her work as a psychologist, Alli has volunteered as a youth mentor with Raise Foundation and co-facilitated wellbeing workshops with KYDS Youth Development Service. She has conducted research on self-
compassion as well as the relationship between body image concerns and orthorexia- a rigid fixation with healthy eating.
Alli is passionate about mental fitness, wellbeing, and early intervention. She is committed to assisting her clients to build resilience, learn adaptive coping strategies, realise their potential, and lead a fulfilling life.
Alli uses the following therapeutic approaches in her work with clients:
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- Mindfulness based strategies
- Skills training (problem-solving, assertiveness etc)
