GETTING TO KNOW ME
I come from humble beginnings where adversity was part of the day to day. This formed my core values and beliefs which are humility, kindness and empathy. For this reason, I believe in being a ‘person first’, where I have challenged the neutral/distant style of traditional psychotherapy. This is seen by me showing my warm, friendly and energetic personality in the room.

My philosophy is that every individual who has experienced trauma has resilience within their core. Therefore, my focus in therapy is the empowerment of each client through the journey of learning how to consciously harness their resilience to improve mental health.
The experience of psychological and emotional pain can feel very lonely. However, you are not alone on this journey as we will be working as a team to work through both your past and current psychological and emotional difficulties. Your lived experience is unique and your concerns about yourself and your life is real. My aim is to help you understand your difficulties, improve insight and coping skills – leaving you more empowered in your life. Overall, my primary objective is to provide a safe space where my clients feel seen and heard so that corrective experiences can manifest in their lives.
I have over 5 years’ experience as a registered Clinical Psychologist in Capetown and am currently registered as a Provisional Psychologist in Australia, whilst completing the overseas-transition program.
I work with adolescents and adults, using psychodynamic therapy as well as other modalities such as CBT and BWRT. I have special interests in; childhood trauma/abuse, survivors of narcissistic abuse by partners or parents, depression, anxiety, Bipolar, personality disorders, schizophrenia, low self-esteem, parenting difficulties, and any other lived experiences that has caused distress”.
